POSITION: Monster COMIC-BOOK CREDENTIALS: First appeared in Marvel's Amazing Spider-man comics in 1991, Carnage soon became a fan-favourite and one of the craziest and deadliest villains in the Marvel Universe. His greatest appearance was during the multi-part crossover story Maximum Carnage, where he rounded up an equally psychotic group of likeminded villains for a killing spree across New York.
Just like Venom (the guy who spawned him) Carnage cropped up quite a number of times during the '90s and he started to become as welcome as a fart in a panic room. Oh and then there was the time he became Cosmic Carnage...
SKILLS/ABILITIES: Carnage is super strong, can produce a web-like line from his body, can transform his appearance to camoflauge himself into his surroundings and can create a variety of different weapons and projectiles that he uses to kill off his enemies.
REASON FOR RECRUITMENT: Carnage is truely a monster, but all super villain team-ups require one. There's no compromise with him and so if he intends to wipe out every hero in a ten mile radius then that's exactly what he'll do. He would be very useful to send out on a mission with instructions to have as much fun as possible... so long as you don't expect him to stick entirely to the plan.
POTENTIAL RISK: Just like a number of team members Carnage is nuts. He's also a certified serial killer and there is the chance that he will turn on his own team mates, just for 'shits and giggles'. This would potentially cause problems within the dynamic of the group, but it's an acceptable risk considering his past track record of killing off those that get in his way.
CHANCES OF SURVIVAL:
Carnage has survived death before... he'll survive it again.
IN EVENT OF DEATH BEFORE MISSION... LIKELIHOOD OF REPLACEMENT WITH DEADPOOL: Not a chance. Carnage is a one and only kind of guy. If he did die before a mission then he would leave an irreplaceable void on the team. Plus DEADPOOL IS NOT JOINING THE TEAM!!!
