POSITION: The trickster COMIC-BOOK CREDENTIALS: Appeared in numerous Marvel titles (often featuring Thor or the Avengers) and has been a major player in the Marvel Universe, manipulating many heroes into being less than heroic. COMIC-BOOK WEAKNESSES: His manipulation of the Hulk was the catalyst for the formation of the Avengers. It was a shit day at the office on that particular occasion.
Loki is super strong, can shapeshift, can teleport...can fly... ...jeez he's a god for cripes sake, he can practically do anything! Oh and he's also known for being a trickster, so can and will manipulate anyone. He's also managed to get the better of his half-brother Thor on a number of occasions and that's always a bonus.
REASON FOR RECRUITMENT: You can't get much better than having a god on the team and Loki is the perfect god to have. His manipulative streak means he is always working on a scheme to screw someone over. Plus he's very, very powerful.
POTENTIAL RISK: Loki can't help himself when it comes to manipulating others for his own amusement and so there is the risk that he could create arguments within the group. However this could help eliminate the weaker members of the team, so it's actually a positive risk.
CHANCES OF SURVIVAL: He's a god. He's immortal.
