By Alex Wiggan Welcome back dear Comics Coders to the Science of Superher... oh, wait, I should actually be welcoming you to the Science of Supervillains, because for this particular study we're being bad. Very bad!
Yep, behind every good hero there’s an equally good villain so this time around we're giving the bad guys their chance to shine. Most of these villains are sick, depraved individuals who will gladly slap on Spandex to go toe-to-toe with some of the greatest heroes the world has ever known; and that's why we like 'em!
However the worst of the worst are the bad guys who circle the supernatural realm and so that's who we're really focusing on this time around. These guys can’t be reasoned with and they care very little for the spoils of man; instead they’re more interested in ruling demon dimensions, poisoning children or stealing souls. As I say, they're pretty terrible individuals.
Whether it be demons, witches or vampires, they’re all the stuff of nightmares and that dear readers is surely why they are worth an entry in the Science of Superheroes hall of fame. Isn't it?
So for this special edition of the Science of Superheroes we’re looking at the myths and legends behind ten of the vilest villains to ever appear in the pages of a comic. Myself and Ryan are back once again for this all important study, so brace yourselves for a journey into mystery, wonder and the occult as we uncover the truth behind the fiction. How real are the myths? Well keep reading and you'll soon find out.
Once again Ryan will ask the questions and I’ll do my best to answer them, and as money is still too tight to mention, Ryan and I will be sticking very close to home to conduct this study. Yes you should expect to see us popping up at locations near to Comics Code HQ in and around the glorious city centre of Manchester.
When learning comes a calling there's no time to waste old chums, so let's get The Science of Supernatural Super Villains underway!
