WHAT WAS GOOD?
The Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers' movie was surprisingly good fun (taking into account the audience it was intended for) and highlights included:
The introduction of new villain Ivan Ooze.
The fight scenes between the Rangers and the Tengu Warriors; the stone statues; and the dinosaur skeleton.
Ivan Ooze demonstrating to his Tengu Warriors that he wouldn't accept failure.
WHAT WAS BAD?
Taking into account the target audience and the fact that the Power Ranger movie (just like the show) was as cheesy as hell there wasn't that much in the film that was really bad. The biggest misstep were Ivan Ooze's Ectomorphicon Titans (similar in style to the Rangers' giant robot vehicles known as Zords), as well as the Zords themselves. Both sets of robo warriors were realised in full CGI and looked.... awful. Accepting that the Rangers could fight a re-animated dino skeleton was one thing, but believing that the CGI abominations known as the Ectomorphicon Titans actually existed was something else entirely different.
